Graña y Montero will be part of Peru’s second largest mining Project execution

On Friday, September 7, 2018, GyM S.A.–a subsidiary of the Graña y Montero Group–and Marcobre S.A.C.–a company controlled by Minsur S.A., a subsidiary of the Breca Group–agreed on the startup of construction work on the oxide plant for the Justa Mine project located in Ica, Peru.

Justa Mine is an open-pit mining project, the purpose of which is the extraction of oxide and sulfide minerals for copper production.

The construction of the oxide plant consists of the corresponding civil construction works, the construction of 15 concrete pits and electromechanical assembly.

To date, the parties have signed a notice to proceed, and the construction contract will be signed in the coming days, as stated in the abovementioned notice. The amount of the contract is approximately USD 85 million plus sales tax and the term will be approximately 21 months.

In this manner, the Graña y Montero Group will participate with its experience in the country’s second largest mining project, which reflects our customers’ confidence in the quality of our services and the added value we bring to their projects, thereby reinforcing the company’s portfolio of projects to be executed in engineering, procurement and construction activities.
