GyM obtains new contract

The GyM-OSSA consortium—made up of our subsidiary, GyM S.A., and Obras Subterráneas S.A., a Spanish company, with equal interest—has been awarded a contract by Anglo American Quellaveco S.A. for the construction of the Coarse Ore Conveyor Tunnel and Tunnels for the Tailings Transport Channel for a total of US$ 42,947,861.00 plus sales tax.

The GyM-OSSA consortium will be in charge of the construction of three tunnels for the infrastructure and equipping of the mine: a 3 km-long tunnel, which will serve for the coarse ore conveyor to pass through, and two more tunnels, one 1km long and another 0.5 km long, which will serve for the tailings channel to pass through. The time period for the execution of the work is nineteen months calculated from the date of the order to proceed resulting from the respective contract.

The abovementioned contract award represents one more step in the business strategy the Graña y Montero Group is executing and reflects our customers’ confidence in the quality of our services and the added value we bring to their projects.
