Today we were honored with the highest recognition of the Peru 2021 Award for the Company’s Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development by our program: STIMULUS to the shared innovation which won the first place in the Multistakeholder category. The results were announced at a ceremony in charge of the Peru 2021 Association with the support of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
The program -in line with our "Grow and Share" sustainability model- promotes the development of a research culture in engineering in order to encourage innovation so the country's competitiveness can be improved. Also, it considers a comprehensive strategy that includes the organization between the State, the academy and the company, development of capacities and transmission of knowledge.
The initiatives included in the program are the following: the Graña y Montero Award for Research in Peruvian Engineering, the Engineering Portal (PI), Engineering Research and the "Structure your ideas" competition. Thanks to this innovative proposal, there are more members of the engineering community who are interested in research and have the capabilities to develop it. Also, the institutional links have been strengthened and the gap between the academy’s production and the business sector’s demand has been reduced.
Winners for the second year
Finally, it should be noted that this is the second year that we received the highest award of the competition. The Line 1 of the Lima Metro won in the last edition for its Culture program.
